Unto Us
A Child is Born,
Unto us a Son is Given, and
His name shall be called Wonderful
Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father,
Prince of Peace! The Word became
flesh and dwelt among us and we have
seen his glory, glory as of the only Son of
the Father, full of grace and truth. For God so loved the world
that He gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not
perish but have eternal life. Mary shall bear a son, and you shall call
His name Jesus, for he will save his people from their
sins. Fear not, for behold I bring you news of great joy
which will be for all the people. For unto you is born this
day in the city of David a Saviour which is Christ the Lord. And this shall be
a sign unto you, ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling cloths and lying
in a manger. The shepherds said “Let us go to Bethlehem and see this thing
that has happened that the Lord has made known to us. And they
went with haste and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby lying in
a manger. The shepherds returned glorifying and praising God for
all that they
had heard
and seen!
