Annual Shakespeare Sunday: in Conjunction with the St. Lawrence Shakespeare festival, St. John’s holds a service from the time of Shakespeare’s day, featuring Morning Prayer and hymns reflecting Shakespeare’s time. The sermon is on the festival play of the year, of course. Past sermons were “Othello”, “Twelfth Night” and “MacBeth”.

“Youth Answer” – our Youth Group St. James supports a youth group worker and our youth gather at church on Sunday for participating in worship, singing special music, and serving! The youth are planning a mission trip to Cuba in 2016 to visit Fr. Halbert at San Lucas parish. They also have weekly youth group meetings over suppers on Tuesday at St. John’s Anglican Hall in Prescott. For information, call youth worker:  Johanna Freer  613, 802-4222.

Music Ministry Music ministry every Sunday is offered to the glory of God by our experienced organist, Mrs. Marilyn Campbell with Fr. David Smith on guitar. The music is always a blend of the Anglican hymns with some contemporary selections. The young people now have a singing ensemble and often lead the special communion music and contemporary praise hymns. We truly enjoy their youthful voices singing from the balcony on many Sundays of the year.

Other Outreach from St. James includes the Prayer Shawl ministry, Chernobyl Seniors shoe boxes, disaster relief through PWRDF fund, and the first nations people of Canada through Council of the North support.
