In Light of the Sorrows of our Nation, Let Us Pray Together

Gracious God, the comfort of all who sorrow and the strength of all who suffer, hear the cry of those in misery and need.
We lift up in prayer the families and friends of all the victims in Nova Scotia.
Bless the R.C.M.P. in their service and comfort all officers in the wake of this tragedy.
In all these afflictions Lord, show them your mercy and give your church the strength to serve them, in Jesus’ name.
Amen.

Lord God, We give you thanks for all those who have died, remembering especially those who died in service of their country.
May their souls and the souls of all the faithful departed through the mercy of God rest in peace, Amen.

Heavenly Father, we also pray for our health care and front line workers.
We thank you for all who work for the well-being of their countries and the health of every community.
We think of our own parishioners at work in these services now.
Protect and strengthen them in their service. And give wisdom to researchers to provide a cure and vaccine for Covid 19.
In your mercy, Lord hear our prayer.
Amen.

Heavenly Father, we lift up to you those who work daily in food & essential services – and those who have lost work due to the pandemic.
Guard the health of the workers and alleviate the distress of those who have lost incomes.
Bless the sharing of all our resources for Christ’s sake.
Amen.

We ask your blessing Lord upon all our parish families at home with youngsters.
Guide parents as they lead their young in faith and education and may they witness to your light and presence in the home.
This we ask in Jesus’ name.
Amen.
