A few years ago our Parish began to support Connect Youth.
Based in South Grenville District High School, Connect Youth is a support program for homeless Youth and youth in need. St James Church has really stepped up to provide nutritious lunches and other necessities for these youth in need weekly. They light up like it’s Christmas time, when they see our members arriving with boxes of delicious lunches.
St John’s Anglican in Prescott has also given housing items, bedding and even kitchen ware and clothing. St. Paul’s Church too has been moved to offer their support. One of this organization’s greatest challenges is to help with locating safe housing for displaced youth. We’ve had the joy of hearing first hand testimonies of how our support is making a difference.
